Man Killed At Illegal Hollywood Hills Casino Identified By LAPD
A North Hollywood man was fatally shot during a failed robbery at an illegal gambling club in the Cahuenga Pass, according to the LAPD.
HOLLYWOOD, CA — Authorities on Thursday identified the security guard who was fatally shot during a failed robbery at an illegal gambling club in the Cahuenga Pass on Wednesday.
The county coroner's office identified the security guard, Anthony Rivas, 32, of North Hollywood, as the man who was shot by one of two men who entered the Cahuenga Boulevard establishment at around 3:40 a.m. Wednesday. The men, who left the club empty-handed, searched the premises for money, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
One of the men shot Rivas was a rifle multiple times. Both were wearing ski masks when they entered the club from the rear of the building, according to police.
