LAX Terminal Shut Down By Bomb Squad Investigation
The Tom Bradley Terminal at LAX was shut down due to a bomb squad investigation Tuesday.
LOS ANGELES INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, CA — The Tom Bradley Terminal at LAX was closed off due to a bomb squad investigation, according to airport police.
The terminal was shut down for nearly a half hour from 2:45 p.m. to 3:10 p.m. because a bag left unattended in front of the terminal caught the attention of a bomb-sniffing dog, according to Los Angeles Airport Police Public Information Officer Rob Pedregon.
"What happened was at 2:45 p.m. we received a call of an unattended bag near the trash can at the Tom Bradley terminal," said "The dog alerted to the bag and forced the closure of the immediate area and also the lanes of traffic in front of the terminal. At 3:10, the bomb squad cleared the bag."

The scare is causing massive traffic at the airport, during one of the busiest weeks of the travel year. The closure diverted travelers were to Terminal Three, but did not force any delays of airport operations, according to Pedregon.
"We’ll get everyone moving again soon," he added.
