Man Accused Of Forking Hollywood Landlord Arrested Following Standoff

A Hollywood man is in custody for allegedly stabbing his landlord with a fork and then barricading himself in a standoff with police.

HOLLYWOOD, CA — A man was in custody Monday after stabbing his landlord with a fork and barricading himself into his Hollywood apartment, authorities said.

The incident began about 2:25 p.m. Sunday in the 1300 block of Wilcox Avenue, said Lt. B. of the Los Angeles Police Department's Hollywood Station.

The suspect ran inside his apartment when officers arrived and initially refused to come out, McGuyre said. Police surrounded the apartment and the suspect surrendered at 6:15 p.m., he said.

The man was booked on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, McGuyre said. His name was not immediately released.

The landlord suffered minor puncture wounds, McGuyre said.
