HOLLYWOOD, CA — A man who climbed the KTLA TV broadcast tower on Sunset Boulevard Tuesday night was arrested after a three-hour standoff, according to reports.

The man, who has not been publicly identified by police, was arrested on a trespassing charge around 9:50 p.m. Authorities first received calls as the man was climbing the tower about three hours earlier, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

He was seen about 30 feet up on the tower, straddling the KTLA marquee, while holding a sign that read "Free Billie Eilish" on one side and "MK Ultra sex slaves Donald Marshall clones" on the back. At one point, he was playing an electric guitar, KTLA reported.

It's unclear exactly what the messages on the man's signs referred to. Singer Billie Eilish recently appeared at Coachella as a surprise guest during Labrinth's performance.

MK Ultra was a human experimentation program completed by the CIA from the 1950s to 1970s and involved the use of psychedelic drugs and torture. The program is a popular topic of discussion among conspiracy theorists.
