Neighbor Shoots Man During Dispute In Hollywood: LAPD

HOLLYWOOD, CA — A man was hospitalized Monday night after being shot by his neighbor, prompting a police search in Hollywood.

Officers responded at around 8:45 p.m. to the 7300 block of Hollywood Boulevard, between Martel and Fuller avenues, according to a Los Angeles Police Department spokesman.

Police say the shooting occurred outside an apartment building after two neighbors got into a dispute, CBS Los Angeles reported.

The victim, a man in his 30s, was transported to a local hospital. He was conscious and breathing, according to the station.

Police searched for the suspect by helicopter and set up a perimeter in the area. It's unclear if the suspect has been taken into custody.
