Police Ask Witnesses To Hollywood Boulevard Shooting To Step Up

Detectives investigating the fatal shooting of Kareem Johnson, 33, said several witnesses likely saw him killed.

EAST HOLLYWOOD, CA — Detectives are asking witnesses to a fatal shooting in East Hollywood last month to come forward.

Multiple witnesses may have seen Kareem Johnson, 33, of Los Angeles gunned down as he got our of his vehicle in the early morning hours of Sept. 10, the LAPD announced on Thursday. The witnesses are need to help solve the homicide, according to the LAPD.

"Detectives learned during the investigation that there were several people who may have observed the incident," the LAPD said in a statement.

Johnson was shot at about 3 a.m. on Sept. 10 in the 4500 block of Hollywood Boulevard. In the month since his death, no arrests have been reported, and no description was available of a suspect or suspects, police said.

Detectives did not identify a motive for the shooting.
