After an unsuccessful standoff that shut down an East Hollywood neighborhood, police are continuing to search for the man Monday.
HOLLYWOOD, CA — Authorities are continuing to search for a man suspected of shooting two of his neighbors during a dispute at their East Hollywood apartment building Sunday afternoon.
The man, whose name has not been released by police, is suspected of shooting two other men during what police described as a dispute between neighbors near the 1500 block of Serrano Avenue, between Hollywood and Sunset boulevards just before 2 p.m. Sunday, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
A neighbor told KTLA that the dispute was over a dog and that the neighbors who were shot had been armed with a knife and a gun, KTLA reported.

After the shooting, police unsuccessfully searched for the man. Four hours later LAPD called in a SWAT team, believing the man was barricaded in his apartment. When the team entered the apartment, the suspect was gone, according to police.
Officers did recover the gun they believe the man used in the shooting, police said.
