Woman Strangled, Boy Possibly Kidnapped In Hollywood: LAPD
A woman was strangled and a boy was possibly kidnapped in a Friday morning incident near Sunset and Vine, according to the LAPD.
HOLLYWOOD, CA — A man was arrested following what authorities described as an incident involving the strangulation of a woman and a "possible parental kidnapping" of a young child.
The Los Angeles Police Department responded to a call around 8 a.m. Fridayabout a woman who was in distress near Sunset Boulevard and Vine Street. Police said she had been strangled, and she had injuries on her neck, ABC 7 reported.
The woman, in her 30s, was transported to a local hospital, according to police.

First responders learned that the boy was missing and police have classified the case as a "possible parental kidnapping."
The LAPD said around 2 p.m. Friday that the man had been arrested and the child recovered. Neither the man's name, nor any other details, were released.

Police described the man as Black with black hair, brown eyes, 5'10'' and 200 lbs.
The boy, whose age has not been disclosed, is described as Black with black hair, brown eyes, 2'6" and 25 lbs.
Police said the man and boy left in a 2019 4-door dark gray vehicle, possibly heading toward Van Nuys.
Police have not disclosed the relationships between the man, woman and boy.
