Ryan Seacrest has a history of succeeding legendary media personalities, from Regis Philbin to Kasey Kasem.

CULVER CITY, CA — Ryan Seacrest confirmed Tuesday that he'll succeed Pat Sajak as the host of "Wheel of Fortune."
“I’m truly humbled to be stepping into the footsteps of the legendary Pat Sajak,” Seacrest wrote in an Instagram post. “I can say, along with the rest of America, that it’s been a privilege and pure joy to watch Pat and Vanna on our television screens for an unprecedented 40 years, making us smile every night and feel right at home with them.”
Sajak, 76, announced earlier this month the 2023-24 season would be his last on the game show. That will mark Sajak's 41st year hosting "Wheel."

Seacrest has a history of succeeding legendary media personalities. After rising to fame as the host of "American Idol" over the last two decades, Seacrest took over hosting "American Top 40" from Casey Kasem in 2004.
For six years he sat in the chair once occupied by Regis Philbin on "Live With Kelly and Ryan" and has hosted "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve" since 2005.
