Saban Community Clinic Brings Holiday Joy to More Than 500 Patients and Families in Need

Saban Community Clinic's 26th Annual Patient Holiday Party provided toys, books, clothing, and toiletries to patients and families.

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. -- The Saban Community Clinic and community supporters brightened the holidays for more than 500 underserved Los Angeles patients at the Clinic’s 26th Annual Patient Holiday Party held today in Hollywood. The annual event provides new toys, clothes, daily essentials, a warm meal and more to bring the spirit of the season to hundreds of patients and families in need.

“The Patient Holiday Party gives the Clinic and its supporters the opportunity to lend a helping hand and provide much needed assistance to patients facing hardships,” said Friends of the Saban Community ClinicBoard Member and event Chair Marcia Steere. “Many of these patients have to worry about taking care of their basic needs on a daily basis, so we hope that this event will lessen that burden and allow them to focus on being happy and healthy this holiday season.”

The Annual Patient Holiday Party was started in 1989 to provide warm clothes to high risk youth and teens in the Hollywood area, with 35 people attending the first event. Since then, the event has expanded to serve the growing need of patients, including children and families.
