See Which Hollywood Streets Will Close For The Marathon

HOLLYWOOD, CA — A number of streets, freeways, and freeways ramps in and near Hollywood will be closed Sunday for the Los Angeles Marathon, which will wend from Dodger Stadium to Century City.

Here are the closures that will affect the Hollywood area:

4 a.m. to noon:

• Hollywood Boulevard from Hillhurst Avenue to La Brea Avenue; and
• Orange Avenue from Hollywood Boulevard to Sunset Boulevard.

5 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.:

• Sunset Boulevard from Highland Avenue to Doheny Drive.

Many Hollywood streets will also be “local access” streets that will only be open to residents who live in those areas.

• Cahuenga Boulevard: Closed from Franklin Ave. to Sunset Blvd. (4 a.m. to 11:40 a.m.)
• Gower Street: Closed from Franklin Ave. to Sunset Blvd. (4 a.m. to 11:40 a.m.)
• Highland Ave: Closed from Franklin Ave. to Sunset Blvd. (4 a.m. to 12 p.m.)
• Hillhurst Ave: Closed from Franklin Ave. to Hollywood Blvd. (4 a.m. to 11:10 a.m.)
• La Brea Ave: Closed from Franklin Ave. to De Longre Ave (4 a.m. to 12 p.m.)
• Normandie Ave: Closed from Franklin Ave. to Sunset Blvd. (4 a.m. to 11:25 a.m.)
• Vermont Ave: Closed from Franklin Ave. to Sunset Blvd. (4 a.m. to 11:10 a.m.)
• Vine St: Closed from Franklin Ave. to Sunset Blvd. (4 a.m. to 11:40 a.m.)
• Western Ave: Closed from Franklin Ave. to Sunset Blvd. (4 a.m. to 11:25 a.m.)
• Wilton Place: Closed from Franklin Ave to Sunset Blvd. (4 a.m. to 11:25 a.m.)

From roughly 3 to 10 a.m. the northbound 101 at Echo Park Avenue/Glendale Boulevard, Hollywood Boulevard, Gower Street and Highland Boulevard; and the southbound 101 at Highland, Vine Street, Gower Street and Hollywood Boulevard will be closed.
