Spirit Halloween Storms California, Hiring Thousands
Spirit Halloween, the costume mecca, has begun opening hundreds of stores across the Golden State.

LOS ANGELES, CA — It’s that time of year when the leaves start to change, Starbucks whips up pumpkin spice lattes and Spirit Halloween stores start popping up like mushrooms all across California.
The Spirit Halloween stores, ubiquitous reminders that the spookiest time of year is upon us, have begun opening up 1,360 locations across the country. For kids, Spirit Halloween is like dressup Disneyland with row after row of costumes.
The Halloween superstores began opening in August, with hundreds of locations already opened statewide. Stores will continue to open through November, and the company will hire 28,000 seasonal employees. Candidates interested in finding a seasonal position can find more information at Work4Spirit.com. Store employees receive a 30 percent discount on all merchandise.

According to the National Retail Federation, Halloween enthusiasts spent close to $7 billion on Halloween essentials in 2015.
