Watch: Brazen Hot Prowl Hollywood Hills Burglars Caught On Camera
Security cameras captured a man and a woman breaking into a Hollywood Hills home this month as their elderly victim slept.
HOLLYWOOD HILLS, CA — A pair of brazen Hollywood Hills hot prowl burglars didn't bother to hide their faces when they broke into a home this month, and now detectives hope someone will recognize them from security footage.
The burglary occurred in the early morning of Oct. 4 when the elderly victim was sleeping in bed. A man and a woman approached the home the 1800 block of North Crescent Heights, and the brazen prowlers used bolt cutters to cut a lock box from the front door to gain entry. It was all caught on security camera, according to Los Angeles Police Department burglary detectives.
Surveillance video captured a man and woman in a late model dark colored BMW enter the driveway. The driver exited the car with the bolt cutters and approached the front door.

After using the bolt cutters to remove a lock box containing a key to the home, he left with the lock box. One hour later, he returned and used the key to enter.
The suspect was inside for approximately two minutes and removed a telescope, cell phone and a handgun, according to police. His accomplice also entered the home, but she did not appear to take anything, according to police. The elderly victim slept through the entire incident.

Detectives believe the suspects have some familiarity with the residence or the victim.
