Hollywood writers have given a strong vote of confidence in the hard-fought, strike-ending deal ironed out last month.

HOLLYWOOD, CA — Members of the Writers Guild of America overwhelmingly ratified their contract with Hollywood studios, representing a strong vote of confidence in the hard-fought deal the two sides agreed to late last month.
The union said that 99 percent of members who cast ballots voted in favor of the three-year contract.
Of the 8,525 valid votes cast, just 90 were "no" votes, IndieWire reported.

The WGA and Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers came to an agreement late last month on a deal that effectively ended the nearly five-month-long strike. Members voted in recent days to ratify the deal, making it official.
The contract includes many wins that the writers had been fighting for since the onset of the strike, including provisions regarding the use of artificial intelligence, writers room staffing, data transparency and pay increases.
