What's New On Netflix: January 2022

January 2022 beams brightly in Netflix-land as the popular streaming service celebrates the new year with a bevy of intriguing and delightful movies and TV shows.

A number of highly anticipated films take center stage, including “Munich – The Edge of War,” a spy thriller based on Robert Harris’ bestseller, starring George MacKay as a British civil servant who strives to prevent World War II. Another is “Brazen,” a romantic thriller based on a Nora Roberts novel, starring Alyssa Milano as a mystery author who investigates the death of her sister.

Netflix also welcomes the arrival of the original film, “The Royal Treatment.” The romantic comedy starring Laura Marano and Mena Massoud follows the unlikely romance between a New York hairdresser and a charming prince.

Among a slew of long-awaited TV shows coming to the streaming service this month are the crime-drama series “Ozark” (Season 4), the popular reality show series “Too Hot to Handle”(Season 3), and the comedy-drama series “After Life” (Season 3).

New original series premiering this January include spy-thriller “In From the Cold,” horror-thriller “Archive 81” and reality-comedy “Getting Curious with Jonathan Van Ness.”

Finally, a few popular movies are also available for your streaming pleasure, including “300,” “Hell or High Water,” “Gremlins,” “True Grit,” “Interview with the Vampire” and “Phantom Thread.”
