• Huntington Beach offers accessibility training to local businsses (travelweekly.com subscription) — Huntington Beach has become the first city in California to earn Sensory Inclusive certification, after more than 1,500 local hospitality and public safety workers completed specialized accessibility training. The effort, paired with upgrades at nearly 30 hotels and attractions, aims to make everyday experiences easier for residents and visitors with sensory needs or mobility challenges across the city.

Robert Garcia is heavily favored for reelection. The endorsement piece praises his opposition to Trump-era policies and his anti-corruption focus, while noting local trustee Brian Burley is also running for Huntington Beach City Council but offers few federal ideas.
