Man Gets 5 Years for Molesting Underage Relative (mynewsla.com) — A 70-year-old man has been sentenced to five years in prison for repeatedly molesting a young female relative over four years in Huntington Beach, with abuse beginning when she was 11. The victim reported the assaults to police in 2019, and after a jury conviction on one count, the defendant pleaded guilty to three additional lewd-act felonies and must now register as a sex offender.

Local concern hits home in Huntington Beach, where a 20-year-old surfer died last year in an e-bike collision, as officials push safety education and tougher enforcement on reckless riding and parental responsibility.
