📰 News we're reading

• Turtle eggs are moved to the LB Aquarium of the Pacific (orangecountytribune.com) — Sea turtle eggs laid on Huntington Beach were carefully relocated to Long Beach's Aquarium of the Pacific to protect them from rough surf and the upcoming Pacific Airshow's jet noise. Officials hope the eggs will safely hatch in about 45 to 60 days, while the airshow proceeds over the Huntington Beach shoreline in early October.

• League play kicks off for many (orangecountytribune.com) — Huntington Beach High's football team puts its perfect 5-0 record on the line at home Friday in a key Delta League matchup against undefeated El Modena. Several other nearby schools, including Edison, Marina, Cypress, and Pacifica, also kick off league play this week, with all games currently slated for 7 p.m. starts.
