1 Hospitalized In Big Rig Crash On I-5 In South Bay

NATIONAL CITY, CA – A motorist was hospitalized Friday following a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 5 in National City.

Dispatchers received reports shortly after 9:40 a.m. of a crash involving a box truck and a big rig on southbound I-5, north of Eighth Street, according to a California Highway Patrol incident log.

The driver of the box truck was taken to UCSD Medical Center, the log said. The extent of the victim's injuries was not immediately available.
