Motorist Wounded In Possible Road-Rage Shooting In South Bay
The shooting appeared to have been an isolated incident, according to police.
CHULA VISTA, CA β A possible road-rage shooting at a busy Chula Vista intersection left a motorist wounded Wednesday.
The gunfire near Sunset View Park erupted about 10 a.m., after the drivers of two cars stopped for a red light alongside one another at Olympic Parkway and Town Center Drive, then got out and began fighting for unknown reasons, according to the Chula Vista Police Department.
During the scuffle, one of the men shot the other with a handgun, then got back into his vehicle and fled to the west, CVPD Sgt. Anthony Molina said.

The victim, a 34-year-old Chula Vista resident, got back into his car and drove away while calling 911. After reporting the shooting, he pulled over and waited for paramedics, who took him to a hospital for treatment non-life-threatening injuries.
The relationship between the two drivers, if any, was unknown, Molina said. The shooter was described only as a man in dark clothing, and police have obtained no description of his vehicle.
