5 Hurt In South Bay Brawl

CHULA VISTA, CA – Five people were injured, one seriously, in a courtyard brawl at a Chula Vista apartment building, authorities said.

The fight took place about 11 p.m. Saturday, on Oxford Street near Fifth Avenue, the San Diego Union Tribune reported.

People involved in the brawl suffered injuries that included stab wounds, broken bones and cuts, Chula Vista Lt. Gino Grippo told the newspaper. The injured were taken to hospitals and the critically injured person was stabilized Sunday.

So far there have been no arrests and police were investigating what started the brawl.
