AT&T Launches GigaPower in Chula Vista
Speeds up to 1 Gigabit per second are now available on the AT&T GigaPower network in Chula Vista and surrounding San Diego metro area
AT&T launched ultra-fast internet service, AT&T GigaPower, in parts of Chula Vista earlier this week. AT&T’s Christine Moore made the announcement at the official launch event held at Pulse Millenia community in Chula Vista.
Chula Vista Mayor Mary Casillas Salas joined AT&T’s for the launch announcement, along with residents, community leaders and AT&T employees. Gary Halbert, Chula Vista City Manager, and Eric Crockett, Director of Economic Development at City of Chula Vista, also attended and spoke at the event.
Customers in the area will be able to get internet speeds of up to 1 gigabit per second in homes, apartments and small businesses. AT&T GigaPower is now available at nearly 15 apartment complexes and single family homes in the San Diego metro area, including Chula Vista, San Diego, Carlsbad and San Marcos. Residents in properties such as Tavera, Millenia, and Rosina Vista in Chula Vista can experience these ultra-fast speeds. With AT&T GigaPower, consumers are able to download 25 songs in 1 second, a TV show in 3 seconds or your favorite HD movie in less than 36 seconds, all over 100% fiber network.
