IB Beaches Closed Due to Potentially Contaminated Runoff

Due to potential poor water quality, general advisories remain in effect for almost every other beach in San Diego County.

Due to potentially sewage contaminated runoff from the Tijuana River, the County of San Diego Department of Environmental Health has closed all beaches in Imperial Beach.

Closures are in effect from Carnation Avenue near the city's northern tip to the U.S.-Mexico border.

General advisories issued earlier this week continue for almost every other San Diego County beach, except for Camp Del Mar near Camp Pendleton which is also closed due to a 16,000 gallon sewage spill which occurred last Saturday.
