Sprinkling enough for tears

With clouds to distract

A gentle breeze, a brisk wind

And then the sun comes out again

In your smile

Watching surfers ride the waves

And friends,  a wave hello

Dogs and children all behave

A pat, a hug , then wave good bye

“Time to go”, they bellow “Why?”

A cactus and a perfect rose

A rap, a country song

Cafes in a small beach town

Nothing lost and nothing found

Sandcastles washed away

With seaweed and dreams

but they'll be back another day

we'll play, until they wash away
