City of IB Punishing Instead of Praising The Art Kids of San Diego County
Why is the City of Imperial Beach punishing The Art Kids instead of praising them for their art work in beautifying the city of Imperial Beach?

Imperial Beach, CA May 5, 2012
It is now going on a month since, "The Art Kids of San Diego County," (TAKOSDC) were given a notice that they were no longer allowed to hold classes in any public park or public area. The reason was someone complained yet no one can produce the complaint. I don't care who complained I just want to know what the complaint was. Asked founder and director of, "The Art Kids of San Diego County"? What is so difficult in producing the complaint and why is it taking so long to correct this problem? What is city hall hiding behind?
We have done nothing to justify this type of treatment by the city. My art students do nothing but good for the city and yet we are treated like law breakers. We have done nothing but beautify the city with the art we provide. TAKOSDC has painted half of the utility boxes within the city limits, we have helped with the Women's Club, the Lion's Club, the Senior Center, provided art lessons to those who cannot pay for lessons, created a wholesome environment for many kids who may being doing something not so positive if they did not have an outlet to express their creativity.

When the kids have their lessons they add to the economic income of the local businesses. We purchase food from the local food shops, soft drinks from the local small markets and shells from Bibbey's Shell shop. We are adding to the economy not taking anything away from them. At present we are working on Bibbey's Shell Shop on Seacoast Dr. We are creating a new mural that will attract more tourists into our community. People are constantly taking their photos in front of Bibbey's as it lends itself to young and old.
The kids should be praised for what they do but instead they are being punished for some unknown reason and I would like to know what it is. I would also like the people of this city to call city hall and ask why the kids are being punished for their good deeds? You can call this number and ask the mayor or the city council or the city manager why Imperial Beach has chosen to punish The Art Kids of San Diego County. You can call (619)628-1366 and ask them to direct your call.
