IB Band SUBSURFER Need Your Support to Win NBC SoundDiego "Garage to Glory" Contest

Imperial Beach is loaded with talented artists. From painters and dancers to singers and bands, IB is full of talent. The problem is that geographically IB is set away from the focus of the "mainstream" or more populous areas such as downtown, North Park, or North County. When bands play venues like Casbah, Soda Bar, 4th & B and others it is at times difficult to get the hometown crowd to travel to help support our local talent. Not to say that we don't get our friends and family to support us, we certainly do and are very grateful. I'm simply saying it is difficult for talent from IB to fill the room of a venue outside of IB.

I play bass in SUBSURFER and I am proud to say I am from IB.

Our last show was in IB at and it was PACKED. We all had a great time. Recently we were asked by NBC SoundDiego to take part in a contest against one other band. The band that gets the most votes wins a spot on a big concert event and gets a lot of press through NBC.

My hope is that we can get the support from all of IB in this contest.
