Bayside Park Sold? Land Theft by the City!

Is anyone aware that the city has apparently sold the parkland shared by them and South Bay Union School District at the North end of 9th Street?

Yesterday a maintenance crew came in and dug up and removed the dedication monument that was in the center of the park and filled in the hole where it was.

Everything west of the centerline of 9th Street as it extended north was a city park and just shared with the school district. It was a park when I moved here 45 years ago and still a park a few years ago when the school district didn't want to pave the alley to the west and I haven't seen a thing indicating they even had selling it on their minds.

I have sent emails to both the city and school district but can't get anyone on the phone.              

DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY INFORMATION ABOUT THIS? I HEARD JANNEY SPEAK A COUPLE OF MEETINGS BACK ABOUT WANTING MORE PARKS, NOT FEWER!
