Why Paraffin Wax...

In honor of our January special, I thought it would be great to share some of the benefits of a paraffin wax hand treatment.  Many women are familiar with this treatment from spa manicures and such.  Well guys, you should not miss out on this simple yet luxurious treatment for yourselves.  Even if you think it sounds ‘weird’ there are great benefits to be received.

What and Why???

As a by-product of petroleum, paraffin wax has a low melting point.  Most commonly known for use in candles, paraffin waxy has many uses.  For the purpose of this article, we will look at the benefits of the paraffin wax treatment for hands.  Warm paraffin wax soothes joint pain, relaxes muscles, and relieves dry skin.  For the hands, this treatment is therapeutic for overworked hands that are tired, sore, and dry.

How it Works

1. Lotions or oils are massaged into the hand
2. Hands are submerged into the warm wax ‘tub’
3. Up to three to five layers are applied
4. Hands are wrapped in plastic & warm mitts for insulation
5. After about 10 minutes, the wax is gently peeled from the hands
