California Virtual Academy@ San Diego is Now Enrolling for the 2015-2016 School Year
The full-time, online, tuition-free charter school is now enrolling San Diego County students in grades K-12.
California Virtual Academy@ San Diego, a full-time, online, tuition-free charter school for students in grades K-12 who reside in Imperial, Orange, Riverside and San Diego Counties, is now accepting applications for the 2015-2016 school year. California Virtual Academy@ San Diego students receive individualized, effective instruction both online and offline with California-credentialed teachers through a mastery-based curriculum.
A fully-accredited school, California Virtual Academy@ San Diego offers core subjects, AP classes, electives and a robust advanced learner program, as well as subjects that are no longer offered in many other programs, such as art, music, and world languages. Students enjoy an active school community and frequent opportunities for socialization including clubs, community-based volunteer projects, and field trips. All of the school supplies that students need for the school year, including textbooks, science materials, art supplies and more are mailed directly to the students.
California Virtual Academy@ San Diego also offers a unique program called Community Day that combines the best of online learning with weekly face-to-face interaction among teachers, parents and students. There are two Community Day locations in San Diego and Orange Counties. Students receive instruction from California Virtual Academy@ San Diego teachers in Math and Language Arts and participate in various other educational activities, such as PE and science fairs, while parents receive support and network with other parents.
