Celebrate the Holidays with The Westgate Hotel's Annual Tree Lighting Fundraiser

San Diego’s Westgate Hotel will transform into a winter wonderland on Thursday, December 4 from 6 to 8 p.m. during the hotel’s Annual Holiday Tree Lighting Celebration and Fundraiser. With all proceeds to benefit the Mainly Mozart Youth Orchestra (MMYO), guests are encouraged to dress in their holiday best for the festive-filled evening.

Visitors will be welcomed by Santa in the Grand Lobby for a Champagne toast with holiday carols performed by Carpice, an ensemble from the North Coast Singers. Shortly after, celebrate the worldwide symbol of the holidays as the Westgate Hotel lights their 12 ft. Christmas tree with a special recital by dancers from the California Ballet.

Following the tree lighting, guests will be escorted to Santa’s Workshop taking place in the elegant Versailles Ballroom for cookie decorating and a string ensemble performance by the Mainly Mozart Youth Orchestra. Get the cameras ready as Santa will welcome children to share their Christmas wishes and have their pictures taken while appetizers and holiday refreshments are served.

To complete the evening outdoors in true San Diego style, the Westgate Hotel’s panoramic rooftop will boast dessert stations, a chocolate tasting and hot refreshments during a poolside brass and string performance by the MMYO.

The cost for the Westgate Hotel’s Annual Holiday Celebration is $13 per guest (tax and gratuity are additional).
