Clock Is Ticking On Deadline For Covered California Enrollment
You only have a few days left to sign up for a health plan ... so don't delay!

The last day to avoid tax penalties by enrolling in Covered California health insurance is Jan. 31, 2016.
Under the federal Affordable Care Act, most Americans are required to have health insurance, or pay a tax penalty.
This year, the penalty will be $695 per adult and $347.50 per child – with a maximum penalty up to $2,085 per family or 2.5% of yearly household income, whichever is higher.

Residents can apply for Covered California on the State exchange online at mybenefitscalwin.org.
Based on household income, an individual or family may qualify for a tax credit to help pay for health care coverage through Covered California, or for a low- or no-cost plan through the State’s Medi-Cal program. For those individuals eligible for Medi-Cal, enrollment is open year-round.
