El Centro Business to Walk in Support of Autism

EL CENTRO, CA – David Huerta knows about the obstacles and challenges associated with autism through his work in the Imperial Valley and San Diego with children with autism, and Huerta will walk October 19, 2014 during the 11th annual San Diego Walk Now for Autism Speaks at Liberty Station of Point Loma Ingram Plaza at 2640 Historic Decatur Road in San Diego at 8 a.m.

Where Huerta works, Motiva Associates, a satellite office in El Centro, serves children with autism in behavioral counseling services, and Huerta has participated in Walk Now for Autism Speaks for eight years. In 2013 Motiva Associates continued its support in raising autism awareness by renting two commuter vans so that 20 employees at the El Centro office could attend the walk.
Powered by volunteers and families with loved ones on the autism spectrum, this fundraising effort generates vital funds for autism research and raises awareness about the increasing prevalence of autism, the fastest-growing serious developmental disorder, and the need for increased research funding to combat this complex disorder.
