Expect Explosions on Silver Strand During Nov. 12 Navy Exercise

A Naval Special Warfare Special Boat Team will conduct an Over-The-Beach Field Exercise Nov. 12 from 7:30-10 p.m. on the Silver Strand Training Complex.

Be advised that pyrotechnics and blanks will be used in simulated attacks from aggressor forces.

Blank .50-caliber machine gun fire and flash-bangs will occur in Boat Lanes 11 and 12 north of Silver Strand Training Complex South training areas.

The training is designed to gain proficiency in clandestine shore insertions. Training can include water insertion and extraction of teams via small inflatable or rigid hulled inflatable boats.
