Seven years ago I wrote something called the "Children's Storybook Version of the History of Imperial Beach Politics" where I tried to simplify complex political dynamics into a children's storybook or comic book version that even a kid could understand. That way , they might be able to explain it to their parents.
One of the all time favorite childrens stories and classic films is the Wizard of Oz. My version had many parallels but was called the "Wizard Of No !"

Yes we used Witches , Flying Monkeys , Cowardly Lions, Scarecrows, Dorothy's and Tin Woodsmen to depict real persons in Imperial Beach's election contest. We added some like Alladin , Dr. Evil, Fat Bastard, Darth Vader and some Mel Brooks variations of others mostly to help explain the inter-relationships and dynamics behind the political shennanigans that had been going on in Imperial Beach and the South Bay. Almost 8 years later , many of the concepts I portrayed, continue to be correct and representative of key political figures! While some no longer sit at the Dias and the council,many are still influential and gaining more benefits. My approach has always been irreverent and disrespectful because I long ago discovered there was a complete lack of ethics and due process at City Hall. My purpose is to give these elected and appointed officials all the respect they deserve....NONE!
They try hard to spin all the stories to make themselves look good. How's that working lately?

I continue to see people who won't use their real names.. post things.. on this website that are obviously insiders, cheerleaders, ringers for Staff and Council Policy. Some of them are pretty mean spirited. Based on the concept I established in the Children's Storybook Version of Imperial Beach Politics in "The Wizard Of No!"...I'd say these people are true and maybe the same: '"FLYING MONKEYS" ?
So as a service to the people of Imperial Beach, we plan to un-mask and de-frock the Flying Monkey Ringers on this chatroom. Most people can figure out which side people are on....but some have been truely ugly and mean spirited.
I have been accused of the same thing, however public figures are subject to scrutiny,criticism and controversy ...private citizens on a chat room. You can make your point without calling people names....unless you really don't have a good argument for your position....in which case you just type the talking points and personal insults? Most people can see you are full of yourselves and full of "IT" !
I try to include an element of fact in my posts....unless they are specifically meant to be fictional or satire. There is an element of truth in Satire also. If my delivery was offensive and you are an elected or appointed Civic Leader ...past or present....It was meant to offend you; because you have breached the public trust and no longer are worthy of the public's respect. To quote Monty Pythons from "In Search of the Holy Grail" ..." I fart in your general direction!"
So help me out here..........

Help me out here folks...you know who they are. If they are cheer-leading a corrupt City Hall , how could they represent your issues as an ordinary citizens?

Hey where can I find them? What planet do you live on? YOU yes YOU Ed make this sound like it's an IB only issue. City's and developers have been in bed with each other in every city town and county in the entire country. Regardless of what they want to rent out a room for is one thing, what they can actually get is another. If the rooms start out at 400 a night and they dont sell, they will drop it. Again, its a 4 star hotel, its going to be expensive and God knows IB needs the tax revenue.

Can't wait till the Patch commences new rules into effect and you have to use your real names to post and if you make disparaging or derogatory personal remarks about private citizens...you can't post. If you can't make your case on some facts or kick the can back and forth without name calling...you are nothing more than a bully.Seems like you have a little bully crew going there?
