God brought me here a long time ago
He put me on earth to be in His show
It was just me and my mommy when I was small
Then it was me and my mom as I grew tall
When I was a woman it was my mother and me
God had a plan for us you see
Sometimes we thought we weren't good enough
as we walked the mile,
We thought we weren't good enough so
we couldn't smile.
We loved each other as we walked and talked
With God as our guide we had hope inside
We'd get back up after a fall
We held hands then gave God a call
We cried,"We're not good enough, we can't win the race."
"We're not good enough we keep falling on our face."
God said, "Some throw stones and stones hurt it's true
They judged My Son and yes, they judge you
They judge all My children because they don't know
I'll be watching when they reap what they sow
God said,"You're good enough for Me, I made you this way,"
Just be you, don't hear what they say
So mother and me we shouted out loud
"We're good enough for God! We're so proud."
God said,"My child don't hear what they say."
I decide whose good enough on judgement day.
God said, "Good enough, good enough for who?"
"You're good enough for Me, I love you."
