Imperial Beach Man Fatally Shot in Otay Mesa West: Police
BREAKING: The 38-year-old was found dead of an apparent gunshot wound early Saturday, San Diego police said.

SAN DIEGO, CA — Authorities have identified a man found dead of an apparent gunshot wound Saturday in Otay Mesa West as an Imperial Beach resident.
According to San Diego police, Migual Angel Villalobos was pronounced deceased at about 4 a.m. Saturday in the 900 block of Picador Boulevard after officers responded to a report from a citizen of an injured man lying in the street.
Patrol officers found Villalobos unconscious with an apparent gunshot would to his upper body, according to a statement Monday from San Diego police Lt. Manny Del Toro.

"CPR was initiated by patrol officers and life-saving measures were continued by medics, who arrived a short time later," Del Toro said. "Despite their efforts, the shooting victim was pronounced dead at the scene."
According to Del Toro, Villalobos' grew up in National City and his family lives in Imperial Beach.

The investigation into his death is ongoing. Police do have a vehicle of interest in the case — a white car, possibly a Nissan or Honda or similar type vehicle, Del Toro said.
