Man Suffers Apparent Medical Emergency, Dies In Car In South Bay
An elderly driver apparently suffered a medical emergency and died behind the wheel of his car Sunday, police said.

CHULA VISTA, CA – An elderly driver apparently suffered a medical emergency and died behind the wheel of his car Sunday, police said.
The man, 80, was coming out of the mobile home park he lived in, Granada Mobile Estates on Anita Street, around 7:45 a.m. when the emergency is believed to have occurred, Chula Vista police Lt. Gino Grippo said.
The car struck a brick retaining wall at a slow speed, causing minor damage to the car and the wall.
Emergency personnel responded, found the man not breathing and tried to resuscitate him. He was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead, Grippo said.
