SAN DIEGO, CA - As owner and editor of a San Diego-based e-newsletter resource, Valerie Saraf knows about the obstacles and challenges facing families with autism and communicates information weekly to over 5,000 families affected by autism on ValeriesList.com (http://valerieslist.com). Valerie will attend and have a booth at the San Diego Walk Now for Autism Speaks at Liberty Station of Point Loma Ingram Plaza at 2640 Historic Decatur Road in San Diego, CA starting at 8 am.

Founded in 2000, and inspired through her experience as a mother to an adult with autism, Valerie individually runs the website and weekly e-newsletter containing information, articles, events, non-profit activities, parent inquiries, programs, and other items of interest to more than 2,700 subscribers and a very engaged 5,000 Facebook fans. Valerie’s booth at the San Diego Walk Now for Autism Speaks will offer more of her tips and resources in person for families and individuals with autism.

Powered by volunteers and families with loved ones on the autism spectrum, Walk Now for Autism Speaks fundraising effort generates vital funds for autism research and raises awareness about the increasing prevalence of autism, the fastest-growing serious developmental disorder, and the need for increased research funding to combat this complex disorder.
