NOLF IB Runway Construction Complete, Regular Operations Resume Tuesday

Construction on the southern runway at Naval Outlying Landing Field Imperial Beach finished last week and flight from the runway will resume today, the U.S. Navy said.

Over the past few months operations moved to the northern runway, which is closer to homes bordering NOLF IB and half the size of the southern runway.

Residents nearby should notice a reduction in noise, the Navy said.
