• Imperial Beach shoreline closed due to sewage contamination (nbcsandiego.com) — Imperial Beach's shoreline is closed to all water contact after county health officials detected sewage contamination from the flowing Tijuana River, with reopening dependent on clean test results. Residents should stay out of the ocean, check sdbeachinfo.com or call 619-338-2073 for updates, and be aware that several other San Diego County beaches also face advisories.
