'Lassie Come Home' (1943) stars Roddy McDowall, Donald Crisp, Dame May Whitty and Elizabeth Taylor. The Carraclough family come upon hard times and have to sell their dog to the rich Duke Rudling. Lassie escapes and wants to come back home to the young Carraclough played by Roddy McDowall. Lassie sets out on the long and dangerous journey to reunite with her family. She begins her long trek from Scotland to her Yorkshire home. I give this an excellent score and I have watched this wonderful classic over and over. I use to have my own Lassie too when I was a child and he went everywhere I did. If I went fishing there he was, If I was riding my bike, he was always at my side. He was a good dog and I cry everytime I think of him. He is in heaven now with God.
