'Brian's Song' is based on a real life story about Chicago Bears Gale Sayers and Brian Piccolo. At first the two are rivals, they soon form a strong friendship. Things take a turn for the worse when Sayers is injured and when Piccolo begins to suffer from cancer. A poignant and well-acted movie originally made for television. Legendary actors James Caan plays Piccolo and Billy Dee Williams plays Sayers. They form an unlikely friendship, a bond is formed that surpasses football, race and adversity. This unforgettable classic makes a positive impact on almost everyone who watches it. When I watched this classic 1971 motion picture 'Brian's Song,' I cried. I give this G rated movie four stars.
