Realtors learn more about selling HUD homes

The Pacific Southwest Association of REALTORS® (PSAR), a trade group for San Diego-area realtors who serve East County and South County communities, will host a free class for realtors on selling homes offered by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) from 10 a.m. to noon on Tuesday, Oct. 22, at the PSAR South County Service Center, 880 Canarios Court, Chula Vista. The class will be taught by Lani Sylvas of Coldwell Banker West. Information will be available on writing a HUD sales contract, priority bidding and a new buyer choice program. A HUD home is a property acquired by HUD as a result of a foreclosure action on an FHA-insured mortgage. HUD becomes the property owner and offers it for sale to recover the loss on the foreclosure claim. For more information, call PSAR at (619) 421-7811, or visit www.psar.org.
