San Diego County Supervisor Greg Cox Sworn in for Sixth Term

Cox represents District 1, which includes the cities of Chula Vista, Coronado, Imperial Beach and National City.

SAN DIEGO COUNTY, CA – San Diego County Supervisor Greg Cox was sworn in Monday for a sixth term.

Cox ran unopposed and was re-elected to a new term in June 2016 to represent District 1. The district includes the cities of Chula Vista, Coronado, Imperial Beach and National City, the unincorporated community of Bonita, and portions of Point Loma and southern communities in San Diego.

Cox joined the San Diego County Board of Supervisors in 1995. He began his public service career as a teacher in the Sweetwater Union High School District. He was elected to the Chula Vista City Council and then elected to two terms as mayor of Chula Vista.

The swearing-in ceremony was held at the Board Chambers in the San Diego County Administration Center. Supervisor Dianne Jacob and first-term Supervisor Kristin Gaspar were also sworn in during the ceremony.
