San Diego Gets Its First Live Escape Experience: House of Hints

Concept sweeping the globe offers exciting, puzzle solving experience

The clock is ticking. You are locked in a room. The only way out is to uncover a set of cleverly-designed clues hidden in the room, and then find the key to your escape. This is a unique live puzzle-solving adventure, and one of the hottest new trends in entertainment, House of Hints.

House of Hints is a real-life room escape game where the concept is simple: you and a group of friends get trapped in a room with 60 minutes to escape. You use teamwork, problem solving skills, sharp wit and deductive reasoning to uncover clues, solve a series of puzzles, and crack codes to ultimately find the key to escape the room. House of Hints was created locally by entrepreneur Jill Lux who was inspired to bring the concept to San Diego after playing a similar game in London while on vacation.“Live escape games have been exploding around the globe, becoming the top-ranked attractions in major tourist locations in Europe, Asia, Australia, and South America,” said Lux. “The concept is just catching on in the United States and I wanted to be the first in San Diego, one of the country’s most popular vacation destinations. We are also great for locals looking for something different to do for a night out, for parties or for companies looking for unique team building events.”

With 3 rooms to choose from, each room has different interests and challenges. Game enthusiasts, espionage fanatics and crime drama buffs get the opportunity to play a lead role in a real life version of their favorite suspense adventure:
