Saying 'I Do' At The Car Wash: Photos Of The Week
Now we wait to hear which couple, of those who got married on Valentine's Day at Imperial Beach Soapy Joe's, wins a free honeymoon.
IMPERIAL BEACH, CA — The fun and quirky San Diego-based, car-wash chain, Soapy Joe's, known for its car-wash karaoke competition and as the Guinness World Record-holder for the World's Largest Air Freshener, hosted a new signature event on Valentine's Day — a "Tunnel of Love" group wedding for nine couples at its Imperial Beach location.
The car-wash site was decked out matrimony-style with balloons, lights and flowers, while brides and grooms walked down the "aisle" — in short, the vacuum area's "arches," which were transformed for the ceremony. The wedding service was free, officiated by Ron Deimling, a Soapy Joe's vice president, and with the Soapy mascot standing in as ring bearer.
One possible perk for the newlyweds: a free honeymoon cruise to Mexico, based on a public vote. Follow along here to see the couples' profiles, and find out what pair will win the trip. Online voting ends today — Feb. 21.
