SDSU Offers Meeting and Event Planning Courses

SDSU is offering two November classes in its Professional Certificate in Meeting and Event Planning program.

SDSU’s College of Extended Studies is offering two November classes in its Professional Certificate in Meeting and Event Planning program that offers an opportunity to expand your knowledge and skills within this growing industry.

“I think that the instructors are really high quality because they have so much experience,” said former student Natalie Lewis. “The most valuable takeaway has been their real-life examples.”

Audio/Visual Basics, Tuesday, Nov. 4 and Thursday, Nov. 6, 6-9 pm
This course is a basic but comprehensive overview of the design and application of presentational technology for meetings and events.

Starting your Own Business in the Meeting and Event Planning Industry, Saturday, Nov. 8, 9 am-4 pm
This introductory class will explore the basics in building an event business, from building your reputation and potential client base, to effective marketing, available resources and the necessary steps to help you succeed.
