STARS UNDER THE STARS Recap

The South Bay Union School District’s Education Foundation hosted the fourth annual Stars under the Stars event on Saturday, May 3rd, 2014. This celebration, which honored “Stars” in the South Bay who impact children and education, also served as a fundraiser for the Education Foundation.

The event was once again held at the Chula Vista Golf Course with dinner, dancing, and an awards presentation. One hundred twenty-five were in attendance including SBUSD School Board Members, our Superintendent, SBUSD employees, and many members of our community.

The evening began in a beautifully decorated room with live guitar music from Ramon Cruz as guests mingled, perused the wide variety of raffle baskets, enjoyed delicious appetizers and a delectable dinner. The SBUSDEF acting president Dana Tomlinson then introduced the honorees and noted why each person is special to the Education Foundation and our community.

Guests then enjoyed the excitement of the Gift Basket Raffle. While contributing to the entertainment of the evening, the Gift Basket Raffle also serves as an additional fundraising opportunity for the foundation.

The raffle was followed by dancing until 10:30 PM to the music of diskotyd with scrumptious deserts provided by Hans & Harry’s.
