The Sweewater Union High School District Board of Trustees voted unanimously Tuesday to adopt campaign finance reforms that limits contributions from individual donors to $750 each election, according to U-T San Diego.
Complaints that allege improper spending may be probed by independent investigators.
Cartmill, Quinones and Lopez have been indicted and face charges.
A vote to decide how to fill a seat left vacant by Trustee Arlie Ricasa, who pled guilty to charges and resigned last month, was delayed.
