The Vargas Variety Hour: Manny Vargas' Photography and His Many Hats

Manny Vargas and his wife have organized surf and bodyboard tours to Mexico, Costa Rica and Indonesia since 2004.
 
In 2006, Vargas bought a camera with housing to keep out water from a friend upgrading their gear.

"Since then, I've been hooked. I've added other lens to my arsenal but being in the water, in the barrel and in your face is what I love," he said.

Vargas now typically uses his Canon 7D with a fish eye lens and GoPro video camera on top.

"I call my entire water housing set up Cha Cha. Yes, I'm a happy man."

He can be found most mornings in IB waters and other San Diego beaches snapping away. Pictures are then made available to wave riders on his website.

There are the incredible pictures and tours, but Vargas wears many hats.

Last December, he was hired to be the main host and commentator for IBA World Tour webcasts.

The IBA or International Bodyboarding Association is the governing body for the bodyboard world tour.

Next stops on the tour include Australia, Chile, Portugal and the Canary Islands, among others.

In the past few months, Vargas has also stepped into the arena of website design.
